About

My therapeutic approach is integrative: relational, strength-based, growth-oriented, and influenced by narrative and cognitive behavioral therapy. I work with clients navigating a wide range of presenting concerns, including low self-esteem, life transitions, relationship loss, grief, complex family and/or couples dynamics, childhood trauma, and boundary work with others. Across these diverse challenges, a common theme often emerges—the search for self-understanding and clarity—and similar questions arise, including:

  • Who am I in relation to my loved ones, my community, and the world?

  • Why do I feel stuck, lost, or burnt out?

  • Why don’t my relationships work?

  • What is the point of all this?

These questions often lead to one deeper inquiry:

  • What is the best way forward?

Answering this question is the goal of our work together.

Therapy is a space where you can reflect, heal, and grow. I don’t have the answers you are seeking—you do. My role is to help you uncover them. I’ll walk beside you, offering insight, encouragement, and a steady presence as you navigate the unknown. I’ll shine a light when the path feels dark, and I will celebrate your progress with you—even the small wins you might not notice.

Therapy with me is active and intentional. I work best with motivated clients who are ready for change, even if you are unsure where to begin. I bring a gentle but firm approach to keep our work focused and meaningful. Through dialogue, I attune to both your words and your nonverbal cues, guiding you toward clarity and inner knowing from your own frame of reference.

Together we will mostly stay centered on current challenges, but we’ll also gently explore your past to understand the roots of your pain—not to dwell there—but to transform it into energy for growth. Integration and acceptance are central to our work. I encourage curiosity and self-compassion, helping you move forward without judgment.

If our work is successful, you’ll leave with a deeper sense of self—able to move through life with a feeling of balance, confidence, and clarity. You will begin to embrace life challenges as opportunities for growth rather than a source of frustration and fear.

On a personal note, I’m a formally trained fine artist with a focus on body-mind balance, and I also bring this creative, intuitive lens to my client work. I believe in 'practicing what I preach', and therefore I am mindful to integrate the same principles I offer in session into my own life. For this, and many other reasons, I find this work to be deeply rewarding.

Before becoming a therapist, I held diverse professional roles—from wearing many hats in the arts sector to a pivotal role as the Managing Director of Administration at an investment firm in San Francisco. These experiences, along with my own journey through therapy, give me a well-rounded perspective on the human experience.

I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design and a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology with a Concentration in Expressive Arts from the California Institute of Integral Studies. I have successfully completed Levels 1, 2, and 3 (Practicum) Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy
